On Monday 25th August 2025, an historical milestone in Simbu Health System was witnessed when the Health Minister Hon Elias Kapavore MP presented the Level Accreditation Certificate to the health partners Catholic Health Services (CCHS) and Simbu Provincial Health Authority for St. Joseph Mingendi Catholic District Hospital.
The accreditation ceremony was graced by key leaders, including Hon Francis Kikin Siune MP (member for Kerowagi and Vice Minister Public Service), Hon Noah Kool MP (Simbu Governor), Mr John Punde (Provincial Administrator), Simbu PHA Board Chairman Mr. David Herman Nime and the Board, Reverend Paul Sundu and the Catholic missionaries, NDOH SEM representative Dr. Scotty Kendalyo and Curative Standards champion Mr. Peter Pindan, Dr Michael Dokup and the Jiwaka Provincial Government representatives, and Dr. Ken (CEO Simbu PHA), Mr. Arnold Marme (Public Health Director) and Simbu PHA senior officers.
