Ten employees of the Simbu Provincial Health Authority (PHA) have graduated with distinction at the University of Papua New Guinea’s (UPNG) 71st graduation ceremony, marking a proud milestone for the organization and the province.
Among the graduates, Sr Angella Gull and Sr Stella Binape achieved the highest GPAs in their programs, earning the prestigious Dean’s Award and the Australian High Commission Award.
The graduates and their qualifications are:
- Mr John Issach – Master of Arts in Executive Management
- Sr Angella Gull, Sr Stella Binape, Sr Macklyn Kimbe, Sr Shirley Wena – Bachelor in Management and Education
- Sr Linda Kagl – Bachelor in Clinical Nursing (Mental Health)
- Sr Josana Bau – Bachelor in Clinical Nursing (Peri-operative)
- Sr Ruth Karao – Bachelor in Clinical Nursing (Community Health)
- Sr Maria Kuglmbo – Bachelor in Clinical Nursing (Critical Care)
- Sr Lista Joe – Bachelor in Clinical Nursing (Critical Care)
The Simbu PHA Training Division, under the leadership of Cecillia Tobias, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the management team and the vibrant CEO for sponsoring the postgraduate studies in 2025. “We thank God for the wisdom upon the management and the knowledge bestowed upon the graduates. May His guidance continue to lead them in the ministry of healing,” the division noted.
The CEO and management team also extended congratulations to the graduates and their families, acknowledging the sacrifices made to achieve this success.
With this achievement, Simbu PHA looks forward to advancing its mission of serving the sick and carrying the organization “to another mile together.”
