The Bank of South Pacific (BSP), in partnership with the Simbu Provincial Health Authority (SIPHA), officially opened and commissioned its new branch in Kundiawa today at 10:45 am. The event marked a significant milestone in strengthening financial services in the province while reinforcing BSP’s ongoing collaboration with SIPHA.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Mr. Ronesh Dayal, BSP Group General Manager Retail. SIPHA expressed appreciation to BSP for its continued partnership, noting the importance of such collaborations in supporting provincial development and community well-being.
The occasion drew a distinguished gathering of BSP executives and provincial leaders. Among those present were Mr. Jonathan Harvey, Group Executive for People and Culture; Mr. Peter Komon, Head of Retail Branch Operations; Mr. John Tomba, Highlands Region Area Manager; and Mrs. Rita Singut, BSP Kundiawa Branch Manager. Representing SIPHA were Mr. Herman David Nime, Board Chairman, and Dr. Kassi Ken, Chief Executive Officer.
The new BSP Kundiawa branch is expected to improve access to banking services for the staffs and patient in Simbu Province, while also serving as a platform for future joint initiatives between BSP and SIPHA. The commissioning reflects BSP’s broader commitment to expanding its reach across Papua New Guinea.
