NDOH-IMPACT HEALTH RELEASES EIGHT (8) VEHICLES TO IMPACT HEALTH PILOT PROVINCIAL HEALTH AUTHORITIES

In a small but remarkable ceremony on Wednesday 29th April 2026 in Port Moresby, 8 brand new Land Cruiser 10-seaters were given to Impact Health piloted PHAs of East New Britain PHA, East Sepik PHA, Central PHA and Simbu PHA.

Officiating the ceremony was Health Secretary Mr Pascoe Kase and Impact Health Project Coordinator Mr Billy Naidi. And present among the audience was Dr Ako Yap (CEO, ENBPHA), Mr Simon Ora (Acting CEO, Central PHA) and Dr Ken Kassi (CEO, Simbu PHA).

Secretary Kase praised the Impact Health Project and its impacts, a project he assisted in its design in his first tenure as Health Secretary, and express satisfaction seeing the improvements in Health services and indicators the project is influencing.

While expressing the challenges and success in rolling out Impact Health Project, Mr Naidi highlighted that the vehicles presented are part of the overall plan to continuously improve Health services in the district to rural regions where majority of the people are, carrying on from the remarkable progress the Project is already doing.

Representing the Impact Health PHAs, Dr Ken of Simbu PHA thank the PNG Government, National Department of Health and World Bank for initiating this effective Impact Health Project and the 8 LC 10-seaters presented.

Each Impact Health PHAs will recieve 2 vehicles each and operationalise them as soon they recieve them.
