National Department of Health (NDOH) in collaboration with World Health Organisation (WHO) have commenced an In-Country Assessment (ICA) of PNG’s Medical Supply Chain from 9th April to 8th May 2026. This is to prepare relevant factual data for the formulation of the Medical Supplies Strategic Plan (MSSP) 2026-2030.
The NDOH-WHO techinical team led by Mr Willy Febi Kilepa arrived in Simbu PHA headquarters under the welcoming watch of the Director Public Health Service Mr Arnold Marme and Specialist Physician Dr Dimitry Kep for briefing. Then they were accompanied and visited Karilmaril Community Health Post (CHP) in the southside and geograhical challenging Gumine District. The team will continue tomorrow and will visit other provinces after completing Simbu Province designated Health Facilities.
This ICA is in line with KRA 5.5 of the National Health Plan 2021-2030 and KPA 3 Objective 4 of the Corporate Plan 2025-2027 of Simbu PHA.
